How can I feel comfortable about a first date?

First Date Safety

You should always drive yourself (or take a cab, public bus) to your agreed upon (public) date site. Don´t have your date pick you up at your home until you are sure you´re in safe "hands". Overly cautious? Maybe. But I´d rather risk hurting my date´s feeling (on that first date) than potentially risk my safety.
